Q-Park pay stations at Kulturhustorvet, Lyngby subjected to possible credit card skimming

On the afternoon of 19 March 2026, our staff discovered that unknown individuals had installed a so called skimming device – in the form of a wireless card reader – on top of the contactless card reader of our pay stations at our parking facility at Kulturhustorvet in Lyngby.

It is our assumption that the purpose was to capture card information from customers using the contactless reader. Unfortunately, we are unable to determine whether the attempt was successful or, if so, to what extent. Likewise, we cannot say precisely which customers may have been affected.
Below you can see, on the left, what the card reader normally looks like, and on the right, the appearance with the wireless skimmer placed over it.
