Salling ROOFTOP – Aalborg’s urban sky-high park
Salling ROOFTOP is Aalborg’s new outdoor rooftop terrace and city park – an urban space where city life, architecture, and nature meet high above the streets. Located on top of the Salling department store in the very heart of the city, ROOFTOP combines views, design, and atmosphere in a unique experience.
The terrace spans 1,400 square metres across multiple levels and plateaus, with lounge areas, the café Væksthuset, the sky bar, and a Skywalk over Algade Square, where the brave can look down through a glass floor more than 30 metres above ground.
The atmosphere is rustic and urban, with wooden details, greenery, relaxed lounge furniture, and small green oases – perfect for coffee, lunch, cocktails, or simply enjoying the views and the vibe. In summer, the terrace is buzzing with life when the sun hits the rooftop; in winter, parts of ROOFTOP remain open, where the design and views still make the experience special.
